On October 25, Twitch streamer Emiru (real name Emily Schunk) conducted a disturbing streaming session that has shaken the streaming world. Emiru released a detailed statement with allegations against her former partner, Mizkif, of psychological/domestic violence, harassment, stalking, sexual harassment, and blackmail threats.
This incident shocked the entire online creator community, primarily because both Emiru and Mizkif are prominent figures in the Twitch streaming world and lived together in Austin, Texas, with other online creators called OTK (One True King). Mizkif started dating Emiru in January 2022. Mizkif has a heart condition called viral myocarditis. He also spoke openly about his struggles with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). In early June 2021, Mizkif bought an Audi R8.
Enough is Enough: The Reason Emiru Finally Spoke:
Emiru admitted she stayed silent about Mizkif for a whole year, but his actions repeated in Los Angeles forced her not to stay silent anymore.
Emiru revealed that Mizkif physically harassed her while she was crying. "I feel very uncomfortable when people I don't have a relationship with touch me too much," she added. "But I let him hold me while I was crying. And he started kissing my face."
"He suddenly got on top of me and pushed his hand down my pants. I screamed, He didn't even say sorry; instead, I felt weird, and he left, saying I needed to go. I was crying."
The Alleged Blackmail Plot - 'I will destroy you:
Emiru said Mizkif was more than an abusive partner. Mizkif attempted to use blackmail threats as a weapon. Mizkif told his friends that if Emiru exposed him, he would ruin her name. The ultimate goal was to bring the rest of the streaming community to his side.
Announcement:
On TwitchCon, she announced that Mizkif had threatened one of his employees.
The Rabbit Scheme:
Perhaps the most shocking allegation is that Mizkif reportedly planned to accuse Emiru of killing her rabbits, which had actually died naturally over a period of three years.
Entered the Court and is Ready for Court:
Before going public, she revealed she consulted a lawyer, showed her screenshots of Mizkif's messages where he was asking her to reconnect. Emiru also revealed that she has filed restraining orders in both California and Texas.
Mizkif's History:
A Pattern of Controversy:
This is not Mizkif's first storm. In 2022, he faced allegations of helping cover up sexual harassment incidents involving streamer Adrianna Lee. She later filed a defamation lawsuit, but Mizkif said the case was "dismissed" in January 2025.
Twitch's Security Problem Comes to Light Again:
Emiru also pointed a finger at Twitch, stating that during TwitchCon, the streaming platform did not protect her from her attacker.
The Unending Twitch Earthquake:
With restraining orders, Mizkif's silence, and the internet burning, this is definitely not the end of this saga. It impacts not only Mizkif's life but also the current integrity of Twitch's policies in protecting its creators.
Twitch's Security Problem Comes to Light Again:
Emiru also pointed a finger at Twitch, stating that during TwitchCon, the streaming platform did not protect her from her attacker. This issue points to a larger problem concerning accountability in the streaming world.
