Chandrabai-Shantappa Shendure College, Hupari was established in June 1991. It is one of the leading colleges of Rayat Shikashan Sanstha, Satara. It is permanently affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur. During the academic year 2012-13 the college was accreditated by NAAC and received ‘B’ grade with C.P.G.A 2.66

The college offers education up to under graduate level through B.A, B.Com and post graduate through M. Com. Hupari is a small town situated 25 km. away from Kolhapur. It is popularly known as ‘Silver City’. It has the traditional silver ornament making business. The college runs 18 skill based and value added courses for the all round development of the students. It has sound infrastructure including spacious building with adequate number of class rooms. Network resource centre, Computer Lab, English Language lab, Library as well as a spacious multipurpose hall and Girls’ Hostel, The College also runs the courses of B.A, B.Com and M.A conducted through Yashwantrao Chavan Open University, Nasik.

The college has qualified and experienced staff. There are five research guides in the subject of Economics, English, Political Science, Psychology and Accountancy. It is a prestigious for us that four faculty members of our college are B.O.S member of Shivaji University, Kolhapur.

The academic reputation of the college is very remarkable. Since last five years every year our students have shown their outstanding performance in University merit list. The students have achieved significant achievement in sports and cultural activities at National level.

As a part of social responsibility our college conducts the extension activities in the surrounding area. Blood donation camp. Awareness rallies and lectures, health check up camp, gender equity programme, support to the needy and deprived classes are the regular activities of the College.

It is proud feeling for us that during last 27 years, the college has succeeded in creating its good reputation and all round development due to the enlightenment and motivation from the parent institute, Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, Satara and the generous, supportive people of Hupari.

About Rayat Shikshan Sanstha

The Rayat Shikshan Sanstha is one of the largest and the leading educational institutes in India imparting education in different disciplines of Arts, Commerce, Science, Law, Engineering, Management etc. founded by the eminent educationist and social reformer, Late Padmabhushan Dr. Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil in the year 1919. The administrative structure of the institution consists of the General Body, the Managing Council, The Executive Council and the Board of Life Members. Besides to implement policies, decisions and reforms the institution has appointed the secretary, Joint Secretary (Higher & Secondary Education) and Regional Inspectors for five regions. The institution has a separate Audit Department headed by the Auditor who conducts audit and looks after the financial matters of the institution as a whole.
